What is the significance of the "pink slip" I received from the officer?

The pink slip you received after the officer took your physical driver's license is of significance for several reasons. First, it serves as your temporary driver's license for 30 days from the date it was issued. Second, it lists important information about the DMV Administrative Per Se ("APS") hearing that you MUST request within 10 days of arrest, otherwise the hearing is waived and your license will be suspended. You must call/fax the DMV within 10 days to schedule a hearing.
